General Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Enthusiastic PhD candidates with strong interests in the central topic
  • Applicants should have a firm background in one of the following fields: bioinformatics, analytical chemistry, entomology, neurobiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, plant physiology, genetics, ecology or evolution
  • Applicants must have or be about to obtain a Master’s degree (including a Master thesis)
  • The applicant’s academic performance must be excellent
  • Candidates should demonstrate adequate competence in the English language (Please see the link to FAQ on our website for further details)

  • Successful candidates will obtain a 3-year PhD position corresponding to TVöD (Collective Wage Agreement for the Civil Service). There are no tuition fees; consumables and equipment required for the project will be covered by the hosting lab.
